Twelve Dancing PrincessesWe with weary whispers all  Don frosted diamonds for the ball  And clad upon our tiny feet  Are leathers tied with ribbons sweet  Our dresses dance as light as air  And pearls are woven in our hair.  We coiffe, we primp, we preen and stir  Daub our wrists with amber myrrh  Then on our weary ways we pass  Beneath our father's halls and grass  Through trees of silver, gold, and glass  And to the creek we come at last.  We enter each our little boat  And glide our way through makeshift moat  To palace wove in mossy glen  Which, every night, exceeds our ken.  Until we Twelve Dancing Princesses

Wolfen SchattenOnce there was a little girl and a deep, dark wood.  Though perhaps the girl was not so little, as one might expect a little girl to be.  Especially in these types of situations.  She wore a dark green dress of diaphanous silk that left her shoulders bare, along with her pale, white arms.  She had flowers in her curly hair and she spun on her feet in the sunshine, threw her arms out wide, and laughed.  But the wood is no place for little girls.  And so it was that she came across in her path, careless and free, a deep, dark wolf.  He was black as midnight without a moon and soft Wolfen Schatten

My promise....to not buy more books. I've broken it.
It wasn't really a promise, more a resolution, but still. I bought four. :blush:

But...but....The one, the one that I went there for, The Host by Stephanie Meyer, was suggested to me by my dearest friend Melissa and she and I have similar tastes in books, so....I mean, she works in publishing, for heaven's sake! I practically had to get it!

The other three were just the natural result of me....walking into a bookstore......
